catch up

Hello there Bloggers,

Apologies for the lack of posts in the last few days, been busy working, getting food poisoning and cleaning my two rooms.

Work has been pretty hectic and busy, but that's what I love about it...it keeps me on my toes. Due to all the hard work we've been putting in our fabulous bosses allowed us to go to the Mink Pink family and friends sale a day before it opened. Now since I've worked in a sample sale multiple times, I've come to loathe them a little too much. The crowds, the smells, the hair-pulling and not to mention the dilemma of finding twenty items you must have and only bringing enough money for ten (*wha-cha* out slips the credit card). So after potentially facing my dreaded sample sale hates, I was more than relieved to find there were hardly any people at the sale. The prices were amazing too! I only picked up two items though (still on my saving spree) at only $20 a pop!

Okay, so the story of food poisoning begins...I assure you I will remove any gag-worthy material from this post. One lovely Thursday afternoon my amazing boyfriend Andy (pictured right, courtesy of the wonderful photography by Cheng) decided to surprise me at work and take me out to dinner. He made my office smell like boy and as soon as it hit 5:30 I quickly dashed out to meet my beau. A quick car ride and we made it to Pepper Lunch, one of my favourite Japanese spots. I know it's not so romantic and would totally be the McDonalds of Japan but the food is oh-so-delicious. Now it's somewhere between here and 7am the next morning that I wound up getting food poisoning. ORRRRRR, it is quite possible the cause of the chicken wrap I had for lunch that day. I just really wanted to mention  my two great loves, Pepper Lunch and the boy. Anyways, all of Friday I was left bed-ridden and starving.

I'm still not completely finished cleaning my room, it's a working progress. I'm really wanting to post some photos of my brothers former room, now known as my walk in wardrobe. When I finish cleaning I'll take a snap or two. :)

My weekend was pretty crazy too, was one of my best friends Christina's surprise birthday, my mother's 60th birthday/nephews 3rd birthday and Annaliza and AJ's birthdays at Brooklyn all in the one night. Don't tell me how I did it but I successfully attended all three! This weekend was also my return to Urban Agent at the new event Vanity at Verandah. It was so packed and EVERYONE was there, even people I hadn't seen in years. That was my weekend in a nut-shell and now I shall resume to my seedy Sunday.

Moral dilemma

Ok, so is it totally gross that I discard my used poppers and food wrappers in my bag and don't empty it for months to come? It sounds way dirtier than it actually is I promise! I just seriously have no where to put my rubbish. It mostly occurs on the train to central where there are barely any bins and I don't want to litter either so I face this moral/hygene dilemma. This is the reason I'll be holding on to all my vintage $5 leather bags instead of forking out some serious dosh on an amazing, genuine, hand stitched, leather, quilted chanel bag...*drools* Snap out of it! From now on I'm still going to store my delicious food waste in my bag, however it's going to be James Bond style waste removal whenever a bin is in my sights.

I'm hooked...

http://eat-shop-sleep.blogspot.com is a must read for me! Not only
because the very talented creator is my friend, but who else would think of turning an old chambourne bottle into a fish tank? It's hilariously witty and full of great little fashion finds. 5 pairs of suade booties and counting...can't wait to read
some more!

OH EM GEE.

GAGA WEARING ALEXANDER WANG SUNGLASSES.

MY TWO LOVES.

TRES CHIC?

Does anyone get paid monthly? How on Earth to people handle it? No pay for four whole weeks then a whole chunk of money dumped into your account! I can easily predict what's going to happen once my newly introduced monthly salary deposits itself into my bank account. ONE WEEK of pure joy, buying everything I want, paying all my bills, getting messy with the girls...drinks on me. THEN BAM!...bringing Mi Goreng to work everyday because I have barely enough money for a train ticket, let alone lunch.

Anyways, back to the reason I am continuously low on dosh. I have found a new style icon for the week, Alexa Chung. I know, she's probably old news right now and there's something I love to hate about her (no reason why, maybe the British perfection thing she has going on?) but her style choices are ALWAYS right on the money. She pulls of nana-chic to the extreme. Whether she's strutting modern shapes or vintage treasures, she always looks so easily put together and tres` chic.

M.I.A.

Okay, so I haven't blogged in uhhhh...forever! I'm guessing break-ups, make-ups, fashion, life, partying, work have had me a little side-tracked.  Since my last blog in late February too much has happened. BUT! I've only managed to cross one thing off my to do list. I've finally got my car license...AND A CAR! Cute little thing if I do say so myself. Although, I overpaid and there are a million things wrong with it but I'm enjoying the freedom!

Work in the fashion industry is still the most amazing experience ever, but tough excruciating hair-pulling work. I'm now putting my limited photography skills to use by photographing/photoshopping all the images on our newly opened web store. It's not much but it keeps me sane. Artistic outlet perhaps? Hopefully, I'll be branching into some type of creative field in the future.

I have THE most awesome friends... HARRISBALLS I'm referring to you. Andddd boyfriend, Mr Kwon...obviously referring to you. I just had to add that in! :)

Tomorrow I'm off to Wiseman's Ferry for some birthdays and I'm procrastinating packing!
Packing check list:
