Goals for 2010

Just a few more things to add to my list:

  • Make progress in my career
  • Have my own car & drivers license
  • Save at least $5,000 - it doesn't seem like a lot, but it's going to be hard if I don't kick my shopping addiction
  • Stop spending 90% of my pay on fashion
  • Become more organised
  • Take another photography/art class
  • Learn how to skate again
  • Go on two road trips this year -one to the snow, and one to the beach.

whitney eve

So today at work we delivered the most AMAZING tunic. It somewhat resembles the one in Whitney Ports Spring 2010 Collection. Can't wait to find somewhere to wear it to!!!

La'mazing.

shutter island

Last night I went on a date with two of my girls, we started off with max brenner - disgustingly delicious, sickeningly sweet; loved it. After some hours of girl talk, randomness and idiocy. Later on, our threesome became a romantic twosome and Cat and I watched Shutter Island.

As much as I didn't understand it and it confused the hell out of me - it was such an intricate plot and the acting was amazing. If you haven't, you'll need to get out and watch.

My posts have been kinda, sorta, a little bit negative lately so I'll explain my situation in the only way that makes sense to me (Thank you Sex and the City!)

"Some love stories aren't epic novels, some are short stories, but that doesn't make them any less filled with love."

I wanna be like Gaga...

Who can pull off haute couture better than Lady Gaga? Critics slam her outlandish fashion choices, but how can anyone overlook the genius behind the structure, clean lines and texture of these garments. A picture speaks a thousand words and no one can forget the statements - no wait, exclamations these pieces scream. Every outfit has it's own story - a past, a present and a future which makes them all too special.

I'm in love.

However, on an unfortunate note, the fashion world lost one of its most influential leaders last week. Alexander McQueen pushed fashion boundaries with overstated elegance and style. He brought gothic inspired couture to a whole new level and his work is considered fearless forms of art and poetry. He inspired runways around the world and will be deeply missed by all.

lemons and lemonade.

Sometimes instead of giving you lemons, life gives you apples. And you ask, how the fuck am I going to make lemonade out of this? Now, you can either beg the big man upstairs to make the change for you or you can try your best and work with what you've got. See I'm a dumbass like that, instead of sticking with my guns and making apple juice (yum!), I beg for help. Progress isn't achieved in any situation when you don't do things for yourself. Therefore, my quest for independance has begun.

In 2010 I want to:
  • Make progress in my career
  • Have my own car & drivers license
  • Save at least $5,000 - it doesn't seem like a lot, but it's going to be hard if I don't kick my shopping addiction
  • Stop spending 90% of my pay on fashion
  • Become more organised - today I lost my fortnightly train ticket which I only bought on Monday!!!!
  • Take another photography/art class
Let's hope I don't stray.

GOOD VIBRATIONS

if that ain't love then i don't know what love is...
